Signed to Capitol Records 2005 the popular Port Antonio-born, Kingston-raised Don Yute describes his unique singing and deejay style as World Hop - a rhythm with a Dancehall flow but delivered like a rapper. Without losing the trueness of in his words “where I’m from.” Like his counterpart Kool Herch, the creator for Hip-Hop (Rap Music) who is Jamaican. Kool Herch originally created and brought the genre known to the World as Hip-Hop (Rap Music) to the shores of North America.

Don Yute’s notable collaborations (“Who is Dat Girl” and “Stalk a Sensimelia”) with Grammy Award-winning producer Jim Jonsin who also produced for many major artists such as (Lil Wayne “Lollipop”) (Eminem “Space Bound”), Akon, Pitbull, Jermaine Dupree, Ying Yang Twins, Houston, Ali Campbell (former frontman for UB40) and Lil Jon have resulting in several gold- and platinum-selling awards for the World Hop innovator. Don Yute has also scored placements on NBA and Fifa games with his singles “Dem Gals” and “ A Lot Of Girls” and is now featured on the hit single and dance craze “Ras Tas Tas” Tele Mundo’s World Cup FIFA 2018 promo song by Cali Flow Latino.

 Don Yute’s Reggae collaborations include superstar Sean Paul, a former schoolmate who credits Don Yute as his mentor, as well as Beenie Man, Spragga Benz, and Wayne Wonder, which resulted in the wildly popular song and video, “Excess Amount.” His new album (CD) “Nexx Phase” offers a variety of songs, including Dancehall, Conscious, Dance, and Soca, and features special guests Akon, Pitbull, Half Pint and production by Mo B Dick (formerly of Beats by the Pound) the production team that sold millions of EP/CD s for Master P’s independent imprint No Limit Records and made him one of the richest African Americans under the age of 40.
